ok here is my shot at photojournalism I hope I do ok.
This is a photo of a father and daughter. My husband is a U.S.
Army soldier and often he has to leave for training ranging
from days to weeks. He is currently serving his first tour in
Iraq and we miss him dearly. In this particular picture he had
been in a Warrior Leader Class for 3 weeks and had no contact
with us. When our daughter seen him she ran up to him gave him
a hug and wouldn't let go.
So to me this photo shows love, sadness and happiness all in
one. She loves her daddy and sometimes its hard for people to
notice these kind of things until they are apart for some
time. This photo shows how much she loves him and he loves
her. She missed her daddy and talked about him everyday. They
were both so happy to see each other.
This photo may not be perfect but it is one of my favorites
because of all the emotion and meaning it has behind it. To
all those serving in the military and for our country we will
pray for you until you come home. Your families miss you.
