Serenity Now

I believe everyone goes to a special place when they need to relax. That in our minds, we imagine a serene peaceful place. A place to sit and reflect, to decompress, or maybe just to escape reality for a few minutes. This is a picture of my place. The place where I go. When I either look at the picture or just close my eyes and see the image in my mind. I am immediately there.
I can smell the fresh cut grass…the morning dew as the sun comes up.
I can feel the breeze brush across my check ever so slightly…the sun warm me.
I can hear the birds sing…the leaves and bushes rustle as the animals stir.
I am relaxed…I am calm…
To me this is one of the most breathtaking places. It also has a little mystery. Something to get the imagination going. Where does the path to the right go?? Back to reality?? Not yet, I say to myself. I’ll sit here on the bench just a little while longer. I long for the day that I can be there in person again, but for now, this is my serenity. Montecatini Terme, Italy
