'Welcome to Ireland'
Welcome to the banks of the river Boyne, Co. Meath.
Where its such an historic area, with our well known 'Newgrange'
nearby, where our first Irish settlers built an historic sun
worshipping burial chamber.(can be seen in another shot)
I must have walked this riverbank three times with many
choices for a good photo, offering different balances, stories
and scenes. This is a story in itself as it tells the story of
peace and tranquility in the countryside of Ireland. The lone
fisherman fishes here daily and adds a bit of life to my
photo. He obviously likes his pastime and is unaware of photo
been taken.
Also parallel to this riverbank is a stoney walkway for people
who like to take in the air and scenery that surrounds
them.(with or without a camera)
So get out of your cities and towns and get to appreciate the
simply things in life, enjoy nature and respect the lives of
others i.e the fisherman
