The Old Lady
|
Spring come again for all of us. My trip is amazing. Only the idea that I have one more day to admire the view and to discover more and more marvels, makes me so happy.
Soon after I live the house to answer the call of the fabulous unknown, I notice a silhouette. I get closer. The old lady is just sitting there. I am three meters away from her, but she seems to be at a much, much longer distance. Something like four or five worlds away. She raises her head a little bit. I say good morning. She answers. Her voice sounds so unreal. Like a strange whisper. We talk for a few minutes. She tells me that she has nothing against taking some pictures of her. The simple words she’s using come with unbelievable calm and unbelievable sadness. Suddenly, the old lady stops speaking. I understand that she wants to be alone. I live quietly, but I am followed by the heavy and mute wings of sadness. Wings which I think will hunt me for a while.
All this happened 19 months ago. The wings disappeared, but I still remember The Sad Old Lady.
