Take 4 photographs
1) Slow shutter speed of moving object
2) Quick shutter speed of water droplet (keep your camera a safe distance away from the water and zoom in)
3) A shot with a large depth of field
4) A shot with a shallow depth of field
Upload ONE of the pictures from this assignment to the student message board to have it reviewed by our staff and other students. Our staff will look at all images uploaded during weekdays between 9-5. Please allow for 48 hours for a response.
To review how to upload your pictures to our student message board go to..
www.starephotography.com/upload
About our 1 photograph upload rule....
This is the first lesson you are required to upload your photographs to our private student gallery for review by our staff. We ask that you only upload one photograph to be reviewed by our staff here at Stare Photography. It is recommended that you upload the picture you were having the most difficult time with so we can help you solve the problems within the photograph. You are also more than welcome to upload additional photos for review by other students. If you upload more than one photo, put the photograph you want reviewed by our staff first so we know which one to review. |

| I don't have a digital camera- no lcd-I use film-I have a telephoto but no macro. I do not have an automatic rewind and click. Can you give some ideas on how to go about photographing a water drop. I really want to do a nice pic-with this camera. I am saving for a digital-but I don't want to stop learning just because I'm still using film. |

makes no difference whether you have digital or film
same rules and techniques apply
you notice in the course we don't reference
one type or the other
re rad teh course material s, for that particular assingment
it requires a fast shutter speed
and practice of course |

Looks like you posted as a reply
Next time simply go the the lesson you want to post
Your assignment / pic and open a new topic
Now on your shot
Excellent, very good job
I get a sense of the water rushing
So your camera settings worked well
Good composition over all as well
This a challenging effect to get
Good work |

Excellent shot! You've captured the 'flow motion' beautifully. Well done.

|

| I have taken several photo's for this lesson and only a few of them turn out correct. The camera I'm using is a canon powershot digital, and it's good, but confusing. There are ISO numbers, and then there is a "shutter mode" as well. Every time I use the shutter mode the picture is too bright, because I guess you're supposed to use it for night time photography. So, I dont know how to slow down my shutter or make it faster along with using an ISO number. ugh...am I the only one struggling? haha. |

Well you did an excellent job on this one , this is what the assignment was looking for to capture the droplets in mid flight , with good clarity and lighting
Well done |
